Miami Heat wins their 2nd NBA Championship Title on a Robbins floor

Congratulations to the Miami Heat on a big win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 of the NBA finals. After losing the first game to Oklahoma, Miami came back with a vengeance winning the next four games to earn their 2nd NBA Championship Title. LeBron James earned the coveted MVP award, and after a nine year career in professional basketball, finally has “NBA Champion” behind his name. After dealing with the pressures of a loss in the 2011 finals, and facing the harshest of critics upon his departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron never let the adversity he faced stand in the way of achieving his dreams. In an interview with ESPN after the championship game, LeBron reflected on the struggles he faced during his title winning journey by stating that “I did it the right way; I didn’t short-cut anything,” James said. “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.” And for that alone, his new title as NBA Champion means more than any trophy or title can ever convey.

Miami Heat, a longtime believer in Robbins technology and quality, has owned two Robbins’ portable flooring systems playing every season on a Robbins’ court – from their debut in 1988 at the Miami Arena, to last night’s championship win at the American Airlines Arena, the Heat have consistently played and won on a Robbins portable floor.

Robbins is extremely proud of all the teams that train and compete on our floors.  With 13 of the 16 playoff teams, including the OKC Thunder, competing and/or training on a Robbins’ floor, we knew the odds were in our favor that we’d be bringing home our 21st champion in the past 26 years! We congratulate the Miami Heat and LeBron on a great season and much deserved championship title. Congratulations also go to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a great season and playoff run.
