Robbins is happy to announce the Featured Facility of the Month for September and Sports Surface of the Year Finalist goes to the Hofstra Basketball Practice Facility & Mack Center Arena at Hofstra University, installed by Milburn Flooring. The brand new practice facility was completed in August 2014, and is equipped with 14,000 sq. ft. of Robbins Bio Channel LP with MFMA maple flooring. The dedicated practice facility serves both the Men’s and Women’s basketball teams, allowing them to train year round. The new facility features a full size basketball court with 8 basketball goals and additional practice areas. The floor design in the practice facility is a replica of the new gymnasium floor, also recently installed, in the Mack Center Arena. The arena serves the Hofstra Pride home basketball games, and was completed in October 2014. The coaches and players were equally excited about the new state of the art practice facility that allows them to train harder and longer, all season long.

Hofstra University is in integral part of Long Island’s community and success. This private, non profit institution of higher learning is a DIV 1 school with 40,000 sq ft of installed Robbins sports floors. With Robbins Sports Surfaces, Milburn Flooring Mills was able to sustain Hofstra’s prestigious reputation while providing their athletes with a foundation to excel.
