Robbins installs new All Star Plus portable floor at Texas A&M

New Season… New Conference… New Floor!

Texas A&M is kicking off the 2012-’13 season in style with a brand new Robbins All Star Plus portable flooring system. After the official announcement came this past June that the Aggies would be joining the SEC in the upcoming season, they opted for a new floor to replace the previous Robbins portable floor installed in the late 90’s. The new Aggies floor has an updated look with slightly different graphics and the new SEC logo.

In a video shot by the athletics department media group, 12th Man TV, the new floor is followed in detail from the cutting of the dried maple to its installation in Reed Arena. Filming was partially shot at Robbins portable plant in Ishpeming, MI. The short video not only documents the process of turning lumber into a sports floor, but also highlights Robbins creative graphics staff and the work it takes to create the playing floor fans will see on and off camera during games. Robbins is proud to have been chosen by Texas A&M to build the new floor during their transition into the SEC. We wish the Aggies good luck in the upcoming season!
