Cleveland Cavaliers get new portable basketball floor just in time for opening game against the Washington Wizards

In addition to their season opener win on Tuesday against the Washington Wizards, the Cleveland Cavaliers have something else to brag about- a brand new All Star Plus portable basketball floor by Robbins Sports Surfaces.

The new floor was installed in mid October at the Quicken Loans Arena and features updated graphics on the sidelines that includes the addition of the teams tagline “All for one. One for all” and the Cavs Twitter handle “@Cavs”. The addition of the Twitter handle on the court is becoming a popular trend among sports teams these days. The new center court also features a white stain to highlight the teams signature colors and new maple surface.

The new floor was manufactured in the Robbins Ishpeming, MI plant, and by request of the Cavs to have the floor finished locally, was finished in Ohio. The Robbins All Star Plus portable floor provides increased resiliency and shock absorption for improved player safety and game play performance, which is vitally important for athletes of all skill levels. Player safety was of the highest consideration when the Cavaliers were selecting a new floor.
