The The Loader/Machine Operator is responsible for operating a variety of equipment with the primary focus being the Loader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Include, but not limited, to the following.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School education or GED and 2 years prior heavy equipment or loader operation experience is expected.
Language skills: Ability to listen and/or read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to communicate issues with others.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts of simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
Reasoning skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to perform duties in an ever changing environment.
Computer Skills: Ability to be trained to operate a proprietary computer based operating system. Able to work with barcoding system. Ability to operate general business office equipment such as copier, label maker, ect.
Other skills and abilities: Ability to perform in a Team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. There will be wood dust, grease, and welding fumes in this job classification. The noise level in the work environment is usually high. PPE will be offered or required as applicable. Physical demands include but are not limited to bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking and use of hand and foot controls. Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 75 lbs frequently. Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools, drives and forceful grip tools.
