The IT Specialist is the primary point of contact for internal system users. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment as well as network support and software related assistance for supported applications. Additionally, the Specialist will assist in defining network and desktop environment policies, procedures, and security standards and practices. Candidates will be considered in either the White Lake, WI area or Cincinnati, OH.
Ideal Candidates will have varying levels of expertise or knowledge of the included technologies. This position will be provided the opportunity to grow in this position by elevating our internal knowledge and/orexpanding their knowledge and expertise in the areas of: VMware, Citrix XenDesktop, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft SQL server, Symantec and TrendMicro malware protection, VoIP Phone System, IBM SmartCloud/Domino/Notes email, Mimecast email security, HP thin clients, Cisco switches, Cradlepoint firewall/routers, IBM xSeries servers, IBM V5000 and DS3500 SAN, IBM Power 7, Zebra label printers, Cisco wireless infrastructure, Synology NAS, IP Video Cameras.
Education and/or Experience:
The work environment resembles that of a typical office regularly requiring the employee to sit, stand, walk, stoop and use office equipment and computer with related tools. This position will require travel via car and/or plane as needed. Business may be conducted after normal business hours during meals or recreational time. Employee may be required to lift, carry, and package items weighing up to 50 pounds. Regular exposure to production environment will require use of personal protective equipment including head, ear or eye protection.
