Sustainability and being a good neighbor are key components of Robbins Corporate Mission.  At Robbins, our mills are an integral part of the community, providing jobs, purchasing local resources and generating sustainable energy. Robbins was “zero waste” before it was in vogue. Our flooring mills utilize all of our raw material inputs; wood that can’t be milled into flooring can be converted into energy or sold to local businesses for re-purposing.  Robbins mills have the potential to be self sustained from an energy standpoint. For example, our waste can be converted into steam and electricity, for our own use, or for use by the community.  Most importantly, Robbins does not generate landfill waste from its milling processes…all  purchased resources are used – for the benefit of our business, the health of our local communities, and the environment.
