Memphis Grizzlies, FedExForum Arena

With less than a month to go before the kick off of the 2012-’13 NBA season, many NBA teams have already gotten off to a good start by purchasing new Robbins All Star portable floors. The Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs, just to name a couple, are the most recent teams to receive a new flooring system.

The new flooring system, which is manufactured and finished in the Robbins Ishpeming, MI plant, is one of the most popular portable flooring systems on the market. Its high quality in construction and performance is the reason 18 of the last 22 NBA championship games were played on a Robbins portable floor. The Robbins All Star Plus portable floor provides increased resiliency and shock absorption for improved player safety and game play performance, which is vitally important for athletes of all skill levels. Player safety was of the highest consideration when the Grizzlies & Spurs were selecting a new floor.

The Grizzlies floor was installed on September 7th, in the FedExForum arena which is home to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies have had a long standing relationship with Robbins during their entire history as a professional NBA team. The new Spurs floor was also installed this month at the AT&T Center, home to the Spurs and the WNBA team, the Silver Stars, who also play on a Robbins portable floor. The Spurs have also been a longtime customer of Robbins. Their new floor replaces the previous Robbins floor they purchased in 2002, the same floor they won 3 NBA championship titles on in 2003, 2005, and 2007.

Robbins is honored to be the #1 flooring choice for the Memphis Grizzlies, the San Antonio Spurs, and many other NBA teams. With both exceptional teams making it to the play-offs last season, we are hopeful the addition of a new floor will boost them to the top again this year. We wish them great luck in the upcoming season!
